Burgess Meredith Park
Burgess Meredith Park, off Woodfield Road, offers a children's playground, a basket ball court, a par-cours exercise trail, a ballfield and paths by the Minisceongo Creek for peaceful meditation. Burgess provided the seed money that helped to form the Village. The park is named after Oliver Burgess Meredith, a one-time resident of Pomona. He attended the dedication and was honored to have a park named after him. He was repaid from the proceeds of a horse show after the Village was incorporated.
